Egyptians kept themselves clean and paid attention to
their detail of their looks. Both men and women wore
perfume and cosmetics, kept in their elegant little pots.
Interview :
Most people bathed in the river, or used a jug of water at home. instead of soap they used a cream made from oil, lime, and perfume. They rubbed scented oils on their skin to keep from drying out in the fierce sun. Perfumes were made from flowers, seeds, and fruits soaked in oils and animal fat. in painting perfumes are shown as little cones worn on people's heads at parties.
How-To put
1. On stone palettes, ground malachite (a green ore of copper) or galena(a dark gray ore of lead) into powder.
2. Blend with fragrant oil. 3. Apply in thick bands above and below your eyes with a rounded-end tool called a kohl stick. 4. For extra, brush natural pigments(from colored earth and minerals) on eyelids and eyebrows. |
